Operation Christmas Child

Samaritan's Purse

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. This program of Samaritan’s Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ, God’s greatest gift. Along with shoe box gifts, millions of children are given Gospel booklets in their own language. In 2004, we collected over 7 million shoe box gifts worldwide and distributed them to children in 95 countries.

FPC Congregation Sends 56 Shoe Boxes

"Jesus Around the World" The FPC Sunday School is in the final stages of this committment to Operation Christmas Child. Many people have helped us to get this far. Parents were informed of this project and shoe boxes were collected in July. Why should we do this project? Is it biblical? Yes(1John3:17, James1:27, and Matthew 28:18-20). We started with the countries that Samaritan's Purse goes to and talked about God wanting all to have his blessings. That is why Samaritan's Purse is going to these countries. We have 14 complete boxes with many crayons and pens left over. The kids wrote letters to include in some of the boxes.

CIC Ministries

CIC Ministries touches hundreds of men and women, boys and girls in county jails and juvenile facilities daily. The chaplains are your missionaries to those behind bars and fences. They go where others fear to go or cannot go, bringing a redemptive message of hope, forgiveness, and Christ's love.

Five hundred volunteers from local churches extend the work of the chaplaincy by leading about 300 Bible studies and worship services a month, and offering pastoral care, prayer and study to an additional 2,000 prisoners per month. We also coordinate Gospel concerts, holiday services and communion.

Donate used clothing (t-shirts, sweatshirts & jeans), athletic shoes, and Christian inspirational paperback books. Contact CIC Ministries for more information.
